TEEN STREET TEAM
Are you passionate about wildlife, conservation, and making a difference in your community? Youth aged 12–18 are invited to join the WRSOS Teen Street Team and become part of a new generation of wildlife ambassadors across Saskatchewan.
First Meeting: May 27 at 6:30 PM
Our first session will be a welcome and introduction to our Teen Street Team Lead, Clarence, along with a chance for members to help shape the future of the program. This team will be guided by the teens themselves, and we want your ideas and input from the very beginning.
What to Expect:
-
Monthly meetings
-
Online participation via Zoom beginning fully in September
-
Wildlife education and awareness
-
Leadership and advocacy opportunities
-
Community involvement and outreach
Our first meeting may also include seasonal wildlife education topics such as:
-
Why baby bunnies should be left alone
-
The importance of not disturbing nests
-
Why ducklings and goslings should not be “rescued”
-
Protecting den and nesting locations for wild animals
We’re excited to help build a team of informed, compassionate youth who can help promote safe and respectful coexistence with wildlife in their schools and communities. For more information, email wildchild@wrsos.org.
